Green tomato is a staple ingredient in many Mexican dishes. It is also known as tomatillo and it is the fruit of a berry plant.
It is used to make green salsa, or as a base for many dishes such as Enchiladas verdes, “entomatados”, Chilaquiles, Verdolagas with pork in Green Sauce.
